  • The Bible

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible. The Bible is eternal, inerrant, and infallible, and is the unchanging Word of God (logos). It is made up of 66 books, 39 in the Old Testament (Hebrew) and 27 in the New Testament (Greek).

We believe there is one God who is Eternal and Sovereign. He was revealed to humanity through three persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. He was revealed In the Old Testament as Jehovah, in the New Testament as Jesus Christ, and is today revealed through the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected from death. He ascended bodily into heaven and is the only mediator and intercessor between God and men.

We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Childlike innocence does not exempt a child of original sin; therefore, all are lost.

    The Church

We believe that the sovereign God chose for himself "a people". In the Old Testament, it was the nation of Israel. After Christ, it became "the Church". Election and salvation is only for the Church. This is independent of age, religion and good works, for only the Church is the Body of Christ.

We believe that in order to be part of the Church, man must be justified, regenerated, and sanctified by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. This work was and is effected only by the grace of God.

    Christian Living

We believe in progressive sanctification as a model of life for the people of God and that the fullness of the Holy Spirit is an experience after the new birth, for the continuity of this sanctification. We also believe the fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of this occurring in someone’s life.

    Order in Worship

We believe in the spiritual gifts of the church until the return of the Lord Jesus. They do not, however, serve to give evidence of a person full of the Holy Spirit. They are useful to edify, comfort and exhort the believers, and must follow the absolute order of the word of God.

We believe in water baptism by immersion under the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, using the phraseology that he commanded in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The ritual of baptism is an ordinance of the Lord and is the public testimony of the believer’s death with Christ and new life in Christ.

    The Lord's Supper

We believe in the Lord's Supper as a ritual also ordained by the Lord Jesus. It serves to remind the church until His return, that He is the head, Saviour, Lord and is present in our gatherings.

At the end of the millennium, the resurrection and condemnation of the wicked will occur and the saved will dwell on the new heaven and new earth for eternity with Christ.
